Cardbuilder Help

To get your custom hero card set up better we’ve created these simple instructions. In order to do this you’ll need an image editor capable of cropping. There are several available from the commercial Adobe Photoshop to freeware such as IRFanView and GIMP

Load the screenshot you wish to use into your image editor.

We’ve created these sample images smaller so they fit on the screen. Of course, your screenshot should be larger.

Using your image editor’s “Crop” tool, select an area around your hero. The height of the selection should be 1.4 times that of the width and the hero should be slightly off-center to the right. The top 20% of the area selected will be covered by the name and power set information so try to keep that area free of any important objects (like your hero’s face!). Don’t worry if the image isn’t as large as the card — the cardbuilder software will resize it to fit.

Crop that selected area and save it as a JPG image. If your image editor lets you set JPG quality as an option you should save it quite high so the final card is also high quality.

Upload the cropped image with the Cardbuilder form to get your final card.
